eDelivery has the potential to save postal services from collapsing under the growing burden of parcel deliveries, and it can save us from the frustration of standing in long lines at post offices that are open only during inconvenient hours. The problem is that few people are aware of eDelivery, and even fewer see its benefits since almost no one uses this method yet. It’s a classic case of a vicious cycle.
However, change may be on the horizon, driven by the requirement for state administrations and a growing number of companies to adopt eDelivery. As is often the case, its implementation is facing delays.
We’re all familiar with the convenience of parcel lockers. If you’ve ever shopped online, you’ve likely used this method to collect your goods. Parcel lockers have gained popularity thanks to their speed, 24/7 availability, proximity, and ease of use.
Autenti brings this model into the world of digital deliveries. To send a digital parcel, all you need is a way to contact the recipient — this could be an email address, phone number, or even other channels in the future, such as instant messaging apps.
Autenti sends a collection code to the recipient’s contact address, along with basic information about the parcel and instructions on how to collect it via the Autenti website. After entering the code and verifying their identity (e.g., through the mObywatel app), the recipient can collect the parcel either once or by providing an existing eDelivery address within Autenti or from another provider.
Yes – the key requirement for eDelivery is to verify the identities of both the sender and the recipient, which is precisely what happens when using the Autenti eLocker. There is no requirement for a specific type of address or to designate a specific recipient in advance — it is sufficient that the recipient is identified before the parcel is handed over.
If the recipient does not respond to the collection code, the delivery does not take place. The sender is notified and receives proof of non-acceptance, meaning the parcel has no legal effect.
Recipients who frequently use eDelivery or prefer the convenience of a familiar address can benefit from another unique feature of Autenti. It allows a phone number or email address to be linked to a specific eDelivery inbox. If a parcel is sent to the configured email or phone number, it will be delivered to the specified inbox automatically, without any further action required from the recipient.
Autenti plans to popularize its solution in collaboration with other providers, which could significantly influence the development of eDelivery in Poland. Thanks to this innovative approach, eDelivery could become more widespread and accessible to a larger audience, eliminating the need for traditional eDelivery addresses.
Would you like to receive and send eDeliveries in a simple and convenient way?
