Frequently asked questions

What is an electronic signature?

An electronic signature is declaration of a person’s identity using electronic data instead of a handwritten signature.

How do I create an electronic signature?

If someone else has uploaded a document on the Autenti platform and you have been designated as the signer of the document, remember that you can perform this action without having to create an account on the Autenti platform first. You also don't have to pay for this service or install anything. You will sign the document on any device with access to the Internet and your e-mail account.

To sign a document via the Autenti Platform, open the message you received in your e-mail inbox, read its contents and click the "Document" button. A customised link will redirect you to the Autenti page, where you will sign the document. When the signing window opens, read the content of the document sent to you and then accept its content and the Terms and Conditions of the Autenti Platform. If the sender of the document requires additional authorisation with a text message code, enter it in the space provided. Then click the "Sign" button. Done!

The signed document is archived on the Autenti platform. You will also receive it in an e-mail, and can download it to your device.

How much does an electronic signature cost?

The price of an electronic signature depends primarily on the type of signature, how it is used, and how long you want to use it. Autenti e-signature is available under plans of the Autenti platform.

Electronic signature - types available

Autenti offers three types of electronic signatures to effectively sign documents online:

-ordinary electronic signature - Autenti e-signature
-Autenti advanced e-signature
-qualified signature - provided by Autenti partners, e.g: InfoCert, SimplySign, mSzafir

All electronic signatures are cloud signatures.

Which electronic signature should I use?

What signature you use to sign a particular document depends on the type of document and the form that is required for it by law. With a qualified electronic signature, you can sign any document that requires a written signature under pain of invalidity, because it has the same legal force as a handwritten signature. How to obtain a qualified electronic signature? Check out our website. You will sign all other documents with an Autenti e-signature. Remember that using Autenti platform you can sign even a folder of documents - one folder combined from many documents up to 20 MB in size.

How to verify an electronic signature?

Verification of the electronic signature is possible with the Autenti Validator, which you can use to check the validity and authenticity of electronic signatures and seals. The signature type is verified, the validity of the accompanying certificates, the signer's data, and whether the document was altered after the signature was placed. The time of the signature is also verified (timestamp). In the case of a seal, the validator checks the authenticity and integrity of the data and identifies the legal entity that affixed the seal.
