It is the fastest method on the market for obtaining a qualified electronic signature directly during the document signing process. The recipient does not need to possess a certificate beforehand—it is issued "on the spot" based on identity verification via the mObywatel app and an e-ID (Polish ID card with an electronic layer). The entire process takes less than a minute and has legal validity equivalent to a handwritten signature.

What does the signing process look like for the recipient?

The process is maximally simplified and takes place entirely remotely:

  • The recipient clicks the link to the document and selects the verification method via mObywatel.
  • They scan the displayed QR code using the mObywatel app on their phone.
  • They hold their ID card with the electronic layer against the phone and enter the CAN code (located on the ID card).
  • They return to Autenti and submit a valid qualified signature on the document.

What does the recipient need to use this method?

To sign a document, the recipient only needs:

  • A smartphone with NFC functionality (Android or iOS) and the mObywatel app installed.
  • A valid ID card with an electronic layer (so-called e-dowód, issued in Poland after March 4, 2019).

Who bears the cost of the signature? Does the recipient have to pay?

No, the document recipient (your client, employee, or contractor) incurs no costs. The fee for issuing the certificate is borne solely by the company sending the document. Importantly, at Autenti, we operate on a "Pay only for success" model. This means you only pay for successfully issued certificates, not for failed verification attempts.

Is this signature secure and legally recognized?

Yes. The Autenti by Cencert signature is a qualified electronic signature compliant with the European eIDAS regulation. It holds the same legal validity as a handwritten signature, meaning it is honored by courts and public authorities throughout the European Union.
